DeviantArtist Questionnaire

How long have you been on DeviantArt?              Just a little over 4 years, 5 if you count my older account.

What does your username mean?                       It is a reference to a book I had written called "Commander Saark" when I was 14, (around the time I joined) which is about the origins of the cyborg hyenas "Cyenas" and their leader Saark, and what made them prone to eliminating all sentient life-forms they encountered. It was the first book I ever finished, and at the time I was breaking into digital art to create illustrations for it. 

Describe yourself in three words.           I hate these...ummm..... Fickle. Enigmatic. Sensitive. 

Are you left or right handed?                         I am in the right of way.

What was your first deviation?                     The one above, check it, or if you want to be really reals, this is the first->   .

What is your favourite type of art to create?     I don't have a preferred type, but I guess Digital as it's what I know from experience.

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?       Yeth   

What was your first favourite?          I guess this, then. Wow...   and it was even updated.. curse them.

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?         Fan art, surreal art, concept art, art art.

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?             Facerot, and he's gone now.

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?    I don't know anymore, I'm not good at meeting.

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?       There was that one person who fucked me over pretty good last year, good times. But I have some friends who've kept me company over the years, and I do greatly appreciate them.

What are your preferred tools to create art?         I use Paint Tool Sai as my "go to" for sketches and line work, and may occasionally finish something WITHIN Sai in that regard.





 I also use it for coloring specifically for a flat look. 

 I use Artrage 3 for painting in general, this includes backgrounds, portraits and some snazzy hand-made effects.











If I want to liven up some polished lines, then I'll move it from Sai to Artrage. ( an example of this unholy fusion: My traditional art is usually done with a mechanical pencil, though I've been digging on the oil pastels lately.        Last but not least, I use Photoshop/GIMP to make multimedia images from time to time, some of them including some actual illustrations done in Sai or Artrage prior.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?              I don't have many places to go, not that I'd choose to go anyway. I work best in the quiet of my room, when I actually can ignore the clutter and focus. Not an easy task. Outside of that, I like drawing the shapes I see in clouds on the monthly drive to the cities. 

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?               Probably every time I've had positive/constructive feedback, shared some stories with my friends, and had a decent conversation in general. I love talking about the stories I'm writing, so it means a great deal to me when somebody actually gives a shit.
